In a recent episode of the Full House Rewind podcast, John Stamos discussed his initial doubts about Dave Coulier's comedic talent when they first started working together on Full House.
Stamos admitted that after spending time with Coulier, he didn't find him funny at all and even questioned whether a comedian had to be funny. However, creator Jeff Franklin encouraged Stamos to see Coulier perform at a stand-up comedy show. After seeing Coulier's performance, Stamos was blown away by his comedic skills. He praised Coulier's ability to entertain the audience, perform different voices, and deliver great jokes with control. Stamos was so impressed that he hugged Coulier and asked why he couldn't be that funny at the restaurant they were at earlier. Stamos and Coulier eventually developed a strong chemistry and became friends both on and off the show. Stamos credits their chemistry for some of the best moments on Full House. Although the cast may not be as close as they once were, the comedic talent and chemistry among the cast members remain evident in the show, which fans can still enjoy today with a subscription to Max.
