So, here's the tea. Rapper Doja Cat was not happy when her private messages were leaked to the world by none other than Noah Schnapp, the star of "Stranger Things". It all started when the " Say So" singer, 26, reached out to the 17-year-old actor, who plays Will Byers on the hit Netflix show, to ask him to set her up with his co-star, Joseph Quinn, who plays Eddie Munson.
"Do you think you could tell Joseph to hit me up?" Doja messaged Schnapp, but then quickly added, "Wait, hold up. Does he have a girlfriend?"
In his usual playful manner, Schnapp replied, " Haha, just slide into his DMs," and even went the extra mile to send her a link to Quinn's Instagram account since she couldn't find it herself.
But things took an unexpected turn when Schnapp decided to get funny and posted their conversation in a now-deleted video on TikTok, exposing the private messages to his over 30 million fans.
Doja had publicly shown her interest in Quinn on Twitter when the new season of "Stranger Things" was released. "Joseph Quinn fine as s–t," she tweeted. However, she did not expect that her private messages would be revealed to the entire world.
Taking to Instagram Live, the rapper expressed her frustration, calling Schnapp
At the moment, Schnapp has not responded publicly, but he did delete the video from his profile on Friday morning.
We all make mistakes, and in this case, it seems like Schnapp's comedic intentions backfired. Let's hope this incident can serve as a reminder to always respect others' privacy, even in the world of social media.
