Fans of the DC Universe were treated to a momentous event when Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hit the big screen.  With Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill in the lead roles, the film explored the moral complexities of having a god-like figure like Superman exist among humans.  While audiences were captivated by the charismatic presence of the two stars, Cavill shared some behind-the-scenes moments in an interview that allowed fans to slide into the world of their favorite superheroes.

In a 2016 interview with Entertainment Weekly, Cavill and Affleck were asked about their conversations during their free time between shots.

Cavill revealed that their chats mostly revolved around mundane topics like needing to use the restroom.  He laughed as he recalled how they contemplated whether they had enough time to go before filming resumed.  It turns out that getting into a superhero costume was no simple task, and the actors had to strategically plan their bathroom breaks.

Seeing Cavill and Affleck in their iconic superhero costumes was a visual treat for fans.  However, for the actors, it was quite the opposite.  The tight-fitting outfits posed their own set of challenges and discomforts.  They had to endure hours of wearing the costumes while performing intense action sequences, all while trying to maintain a sense of cool and composure.

Unfortunately, fans will never get to witness these candid moments between Cavill and Affleck again, as Cavill has retired his Superman cape.  However, the question remains whether Affleck's Batman will continue in James Gunn's DC universe.

While Affleck made a brief appearance as Batman in The Flash released earlier this year, he seems to have bid farewell to the role.  In the film, he warned Barry, aka The Flash, about the dangers of altering time and then made his exit.  Barry expected Batfleck to return after he changed the timeline, but instead, he encountered George Clooney's version of Bruce Wayne.

It appears that Affleck is no longer interested in reprising his role as Batman.

Furthermore, Affleck has declined any involvement in James Gunn and Peter Safran's new DC projects as a director.  He explained that he is not interested in directing in the same way that they are approaching it.  However, rumors are circulating that Affleck may appear in Deadpool 3, as he was spotted on the set.

As fans eagerly await the future of the DC Universe and the fate of their beloved superheroes, they can reminisce about the behind-the-scenes moments shared by their favorite stars.   Though superheroes may possess incredible powers, even they face the challenges of simple human needs like using the restroom.
