Kelly Clarkson's ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock, has been ordered to pay back $2.6 million to the pop star. It is alleged that Blackstock overcharged Clarkson when he represented her as a manager. The couple settled their divorce last year after nearly seven years of marriage and two children together.

Clarkson, known for her successful music career and hosting The Kelly Clarkson Show, has a net worth of around $45 million. Blackstock, on the other hand, has a net worth of approximately $10 million. He is the son of Narvel Blackstock, who founded the recording studio and music management company Starstruck.

Clarkson has an impressive real estate portfolio, with properties bought and sold across the US. These include a 10,000-square-foot home in Encino, California, which she sold for a loss, and a home in Los Angeles that she purchased for $5.5 million. She also sold a property in Henderson, Tennessee, for a profit of $3.3 million.

The couple's divorce settlement involved Clarkson giving Blackstock a five percent share of her massive 5,700-acre ranch in Montana. The ranch was worth around $17 million at the time of their divorce.

In March 2022, Clarkson reached a settlement with Blackstock, agreeing to pay him a one-time sum of $1.3 million, as well as monthly payments of $115,000 for spousal support and $45,000 for child support. The couple will share joint custody of their children, with Clarkson residing in Los Angeles and Blackstock remaining at the Montana ranch.

In November 2023, it was revealed that Blackstock had been overcharging Clarkson in booking fees as her manager. A labor commissioner ruled that Blackstock had unlawfully booked jobs for Clarkson and ordered him to return the commissions, including fees for The Voice and other endorsements.

Taking into account all the elements of the divorce settlement, including the division of property, support payments, and the money to be returned for overcharging, it is estimated that Blackstock will come out with around $13.9 million from the divorce.

Despite the financial complexities and difficulties of their divorce, Clarkson remains focused on her career and family, and looks forward to moving on from this chapter of her life.
